Readers will often click a misleading title once or twice before they decide it is your intent to trick them into engaging with your content. You will see a sharp decline in your following.
You Post Plain Stock Images and Videos
Facebook is a highly visual environment. It is imperative that you use images and videos that are both relative to your post and striking. A simple image can be quickly tweaked on sites like Canva to help convey an engaging message quickly. When sharing videos they should be short, engaging, and succinct. This visual message helps to build post engagement.
You Post Inconsistently
Absence makes the heart grow fonder is no longer the name of the game. You must establish your presence. Facebook is a busy place and everyone is competing for attention. Your presence there should be consistent so that followers begin to expect to see you. Skipping days or weeks will hurt your following and engagement. Using a third-party site to schedule posts ahead of time will save you a lot of time and headaches. You Don't Have a Clear C-T-A (Call to Action)
You're posting consistently with great images and catchy titles. Now what? What do you want people to do? What are you trying to achieve by engaging with an audience on Facebook? Whether you are trying to increase newsletter subscribers or gain sign ups for a giveaway, you need to have a clearly stated Call To Action. There are so many things to do on the internet, don't make people guess. Lead them right to your sign up forms or your giveaway pages.
