Content Creation: Keywords, Company Image and Updates

People generally use the word content to refer to the text you see on websites but it can also be used to refer to graphics and images. When it comes to content creation, presentation is everything. You need to make the right type of impression upon your customer, depending on the type of company you run. If your company is a financial firm, you’ll need to come across as reliable and trustworthy. If your company is selling clothes to teenagers, you’ll need to show them how trendy you are. So different companies have different aims which can be fulfilled by content creation. Here are a few tips that will help you to present your company in the correct light:

  • Keywords. The use of keywords may now seem outdated since search engines don’t respond to them anymore. In fact, websites can be penalized for overusing the same keywords. At the same time, you need to keep in mind that certain keywords are searched for a lot more than others. For example, the names of celebrities, items that are in the news, products that have become popular of late etc. are searched for very often. So it’s in your best interests to use these in your blog or social media pages to show that you’re keeping up with the times. But, of course, you should avoid overusing them so that you don’t get penalized.

  • Company Image. Although the text of your website is important, the first impression you make on your customers is via the use of images. This is why it’s important to have the right kind of graphics and logos for your company. You want to use the type of color combination that conveys who you are. If you’re trying to appeal to an older demographic, you might want to go with a more conservative look. But if you’re trying to appeal to younger people, you’ll want to be more experimental.

  • Updates. It’s very important to also keep updating your website and social media pages from time to time. You need to show your customers that you know what’s going on in your industry and how it’s likely to affect them. You can also keep them informed about what’s going on in your company and which direction it’s likely to take. You can update your website by starting a blog where you post at least once a week. When it comes to Facebook and Twitter, you want to start a fruitful conversation with your customers. This will help you to keep your finger on the pulse of the market.
